DETOUR: A Deformed Mesh/Contour Plot Program

DETOUR is a graphics program for the post-processing of two-dimensional finite element analyses. It produces mesh plots with various representations of the analysis output variables. The major capabilities of DETOUR are deformed mesh plots, line contours, filled (painted) contours, vector plots of two variables (e.g., velocity vectors), and symbol plots of scalar variables (e.g., discrete cracks). DETOUR's features include free-format command input, element selection by material, element birth and death, multiple views for combining several displays on each plot, and symmetry mirroring. DETOUR can drive any graphics device supported by the Sandia Virtual Device Interface and operates in either interactive or batch modes. (ERA citation 12:044788)
