Application of AI (Artificial Intelligence) to Management and Analysis Problems

This paper concerns the on-going development of the Naval Aviation Integrated Logistic (NAIL) package and the applications of Artificial Intelligence (AI) techniques using the PROLOG language. This package is being developed at the Oak Ridge National Laboratory (ORNL) for the Naval Aviation Logistic Center (NALC) to aid in projecting equipment repair and replacement requirements under assumed scenarios. Although NAIL is being designed for Naval applications, it can be used in virtually any large-scale operating environment, e.g., chemical manufacturing processes. (ERA citation 12:036191)
