The electron-photon shower production in the field of the microwave background radiation (MBR) is considered. The absolute flux of ultrahigh-energy cascade gamma-rays (E>or approx.5X10/sup 19/eV), resulting from the PI-meson photoproduction in the field of the MBR is obtained. 22 refs.; 2 figs.
