Investigation of Positron Line Emission in Heavy Ion Collisions with the EPOS-Spectrometer

This report covers the development of the experiments of the EPOS-collaboration. It first describes the experimental set-up in its various states of completion and then reviews the experimental results starting from the detection of positron lines, their systematic investigation, and finally the electron-positron correlation.
