Sensitivity of Urban/Regional Chemistry to Climate Change: Report of the Workshop.

This report is a summary of a special workshop sponsored by the Environmental Protection Agency concerning the potential impacts of climate change on urban and regional air quality. Attendees at the workshop included representatives from key research groups in the modeling of urban and regional processes, experts in climate and atmospheric chemistry, and EPA technical and administrative staff. A basic finding of the workshop was that only a very limited number of studies on the sensitivity of urban/regional models to climate change currently exist; much more remains to be done. Additional model development and additional laboratory and atmospheric data are needed before the effects of climate change can be fully understood. An action plan for future research was suggested at the workshop. (ERA citation 13:057449)
