摘要

Low temperature Moessbauer measurements are reported on /sup 170/Yb in LaBe/sub 13/ and in YbBe/sub 13/. Paramagnetic relaxation of Yb/sup 3+/ was analyzed and interpreted in terms of a Kondo behavior of Yb/sup 3+/ in these alloys. A superconducting transition was found in LaBe/sub 13/ at about 0.27K.
