Using the Generic Task approach, an Operator Advisor for use in nuclear power plant control rooms has been developed in prototype form. This research expanded upon earlier research during which two separate prototype systems had been developed. One was a diagnostic system that detected plant abnormal conditions and identified the root cause of the malfunction. The other was a system to synthesize a procedure for the operator to follow when an abnormal event occurred. This document discusses activities performed during this reporting period.
