New Solution of the Falicov-Kimball Metal-Insulator Transition Model

Using electron correlation approximation of Zubarev, the Falicov-Kimball model of a metal-insulator transition was solved. Calculation for cubic lattices with a narrow band width predict splitting of the band for non-zero intrasite interaction.
