Status Report on the Livermore Neutrino Mass Experiment Using a Frozen Tritium Source

We are performing an experiment to determine the electron neutrino mass with a precision of a few electron volts by measuring the shape of the tritium beta-decay energy distribution near the endpoint of the spectrum. Key features of the experiment are a high-activity frozen tritium source and an electrostatic spectrometer with a 2 eV resolution. The status of our experiment is discussed. (ERA citation 13:049942)
