MaRV Penetration Study Project: MaRV Discrimination Studies: Final Report for FY87

This report describes the MaRV discrimination studies results obtained during FY87 in support of the MaRV Penetration Study Project. Several single-sensor discrimination algorithms and a multi-sensor ''Data Fusion'' technique are proposed for inclusion in the MaRV penetration study simulator under development. The goal of this fiscal year's investigation was to provide algorithms that are immediately useable with the simulator, and that support the testing of the simulator and its subsystems. The algorithms presented, consequently, are of relatively low complexity and have explicit predicted performance expressions. The model assumptions required to achieve these results, and future efforts proposed to refine the models and resulting algorithms, are briefly discussed. 9 refs., 13 figs. (ERA citation 14:004660)
