The report contains an account of discussions that took place between the United States, European, and Soviet scientists and engineers on the Chernobyl accident progression and measures taken to mitigate the consequences. A description is given of a study tour to the Chernobyl Nuclear Power Plant and ensuing discussions with site personnel. 28 refs., 9 figs., 3 tabs.
