摘要

We show the complete removal of the nonorthogonality of wave functions between initial and final states in the Born theory. Hence, this treatment offers more realistic electron capture cross sections in high energy ion-atom collisions. Representative results for resonant electron capture in H sup + + H collision are discussed in conjunction with other perturbative results. 10 refs., 1 fig. (ERA citation 14:020923)
