Development and Implementation of Quality Based Team and Diagnostic Skills Training at the Advanced Test Reactor

The Department of Energy's (DOE) Advanced Test Reactor (ATR) has been involved in Team and Diagnostic Skills training since the early part of 1988. This training was developed in-house utilizing material from numerous sources. To assist in achieving a high quality program that would be both well received by operations and effective in bringing positive behavioral changes, concepts of adult learning were utilized in the development and implementation. This paper will state the concepts and discuss how they were and continue to be used to develop, revise, and implement Team and Diagnostic Skills training at ATR. 4 refs. (ERA citation 14:028375)
