摘要

The concentration of glucose in drawn samples of human blood has been determined using attenuated total reflectance (ATR) Fourier transform infrared (FT-IR) spectroscopy and partial least-squares (PLS) multivariate calibration. A twelve sample calibration set over the physiological glucose range of 50-400 mg/deciliter (dl) resulted in an average error of 5.2 mg/dl. These results were obtained using a cross validated PLS calibration over all infrared data in the frequency range of 950-1200/cm. These results are a dramatic improvement relative to those obtained by previous studies of this system using univariate peak height analyses. 3 refs., 3 figs.
