摘要

A method based on rigorous nonlinear regression is used to determine global rate parameters for the condensed-phase decomposition of an explosive monitored by isothermal differential scanning calorimetry (DSC). Nonlinear regression provides relative errors for each global rate parameters, quantitative assessments for the quality of the regression fit, and absolute errors for the resultant Arrhenius parameters. Application of this method is demonstrated for evaluation of global rate parameters for the decomposition of 2,2',4,4',6,6'-hexanitroazobenzene (HNAB) at constant volume and constant pressure. 21 refs., 8 figs., 5 tabs.
