Temporally Smooth Broadband Pulses Obtained by Cross Phase Modulation in an Optical Fiber.

We have broadened the output spectrum of a single-mode, Q-switched Nd: YLF oscillator (lambda = 1.053 mu m) by co-propagating it with a noisy, broadband pulse in a polarization-preserving fiber.
