摘要

The Steinberg-Guinan-Lund rate-dependent constitutive model for BCC metals has been extended to the HCP metal Be. Computer simulations with this model correctly predict a number of time-resolved shock-wave experiments. However, the model does not reproduce all the yield strength data at low strain-rates. These discrepancies could be due to the different material properties in the different experiments, or simply to limitations of the model. 16 refs., 8 figs.
