Statistical analysis of precipitation data from well 5B in area five of the Nevada Test Site.

From September 1963 to February 1988, the US National Oceanic and Atmospheric Administration measured daily precipitation at Well 5B near the Radioactive Waste Management Site in the Nevada Test Site. This data is analyzed to characterize precipitation in the area to support a model of the infiltration of the water through the vadose zone. Data is characterized on a monthly basis and an annual basis. The characteristics of particular interest were the average daily precipitation, the number of precipitation days, and the total precipitation. 1 ref., 4 figs., 4 tabs.
