Welding and Nondestructive Examination Issues at Seabrook Nuclear Station. AnIndependent Review Team Report

In response to congressional concerns about the adequacy of the welding andnondestructive examination (NDE) programs at the Seabrook Nuclear Station, NRC senior management established an independent review team (IRT) to conduct an assessment. The IRT focused on the quality of the finished hardware and associated records, as well as on the adequacy of the overall quality assurance program as applied to the fabrication and NDE programs for pipe welds. The report documents the findings of that investigation.
