Defining the un-definable: Jets

A brief summary is presented of the current status of jet studies in hadron-hadron collisions. The primary focus is on those issues that would benefit from comparisons of jet samples obtained from hadron-hadron collisions, from e(sup +)e(sup (minus)) annihilation events at LEP and from deep inelastic collisions at HERA. The important point is that, to perform this comparison properly, the jet various samples must be obtained using the same jet definition. (ERA citation 17:007943)
