Description of a PC-based coupled 'PER' theory/finite element method for calculating shaped charge jet characteristics.

A PC-based, coupled, PER theory/finite element method for calculating shaped charge jet characteristics is described in this paper. The methodology utilizes a finite element analysis approach to model explosive detonation and liner collapse combined with analytic equations to predict the resulting jet configuration.
