Nonlinear tearing mode; Rutherford regime and global characteristics.

Experiments on the TEXT tokamak show that the temporal evolution of a single helicity tearing mode is dominated by the Rutherford regime. Further analysis of the Mirnov signal and sawtooth activity combined with numerical simulation emphasizes the global characteristics of the tearing mode. 4 figs., 6 refs.
