Environmental isotope and hydrochemical investigation of Bauru and Botucatu groundwaters, Parana basin, Brazil

A combined hydrogeochemical and environmental isotope investigation is being carried out in the Bauru and Botucatu groundwaters. Based on former isotope data, the H2/O(18-), H(3-), C(13-), C(14-) and He3/He4-contents of representative groundwaters out from the Bauru and Botucatu aquifer are now investigated to reveal a possible interaction of the groundwater systems and to correlate C(14-) groundwater residence times with groundwater ages derived from other isotope methods.
