This paper contains a description of the work performed to extend and revise the neutron capture data in the European Activation File (EAF-3) with emphasis on nuclides in the fission-product mass range. The starter was the EAF-1 data file from 1989. The present version, EAF/NG-3, contains (n,(gamma)) excitation functions for all nuclides (729 targets) with half-lives exceeding 1/2 day in the mass range from H-1 to Cm-248. The data file is equipped with a preliminary uncertainty file, that will be improved in the near future. (author). 19 refs.; 5 figs.; 3 tabs. (Atomindex citation 24:031208)
