Higher-order mode (HOM) damper design using HFSS

摘要

This paper reports results of using High-Frequency Structure Simulator (HFSS) to design a Smythe-type broadband longitudinal HOM damper for the SSCL low energy booster (LEB) ferrite-tuned cavity. The code is also used to check the effect of arranging resistive loads in an azimuthally assymetric pattern to damp transverse modes.
