Army Alumni Survey

Samples of Army veterans were selected to be representative of all Non-PriorService Regular Army Accessions and a subgroup that entered during this period who completed the New Recruit Survey. Response rate to the survey Was 250/c. Results indicated that most respondents were satisfied with their Army experience. Nearly 8O% rate themselves as successful in their civilian careers. About 34% have used their military-gained skills in their civilian careers, and 57% indicated that they used education benefits following separation. About 75% felt that their Army service made them more disciplined, mature, and self-confident. Large majorities stated that they would join the Army again, and 60% indicated that they still agree with their decision to leave when they did.
