Low cost cryocooler review for intermediate cooling temperature

To give an answer to the potential demand of low cost integrated dewar cooler assembly (IDCA) devoted 10 CMT Infra Red detectors with a cut-off wavelength in the 3-5 urn bandwidth cooled at intermediate cooling temperature (i.e. 140-200 K), small, efficient and reliable coolers with affordable price are required. A comparison between different cooling concept like lightweight IDCA Stirling and Pulse Tube, active Joule Thomson and thermoelectric is done. This comparison is made with respect to the efficiency, reliability and cost for a cooling power objective of 500 mW at 140 K. and 23°C ambient
