摘要

An interdisciplinary research team of AT Physics and Chemistry faculty andstudents (undergraduate) successfully deposited thin diamond-like carbon (DLC) films on substrates provided them by ARDEC, as proposed. The substrates included aluminum, alumina, copper and copper chromium. The films were grown by the Plasma Enhanced Chemical Vapor Deposition (PECVD) method using a deposition system by Technics, Inc. The films were characterized by their indices of refraction
