Active Control of Surge and Stall in Axial Flow Compressors

Research was conducted in five main areas: (1) Nonlinear Dynamics of CompressionSystems; (2) Synthesis of Robust Nonlinear Controllers; (3) Global Stability Analysis of Controllers; (4) Modeling Enhancements; and (5) Modal Participation and Instability Precursors. Results are described in the report along with the bibliography of published papers resulting from this grant.
