摘要

The flow over a 6:1 prolate spheroid undergoing time dependent maneuvers isstudied. The model is mounted on the Dynamic Plunge-Pitch-Roll (DyPPiR) model mount in the Virginia Tech Stability Wind Tunnel. he model undergoes 3O pitchup ramps in O.33s and a 13.50 submarine maneuver in O.25s. All tests are done at a Reynolds number of 4.2 million. Unsteady surface pressures, skid friction, and force and moment measurements are documented for these two maneuvers. In particular, time dependent separation locations are documented for the first time.
