Aircraft Engine Maintenance F-l6: Task and Course Design Analysis

The Royal Netherlands Airforce has commissioned a study into the development of anew course curriculum for engine maintenance F-l6. The immediate cause for this research project is the deficiency in training devices at the Airforce Electronics and Technical School. These training devices are either out-of-date, and therefore not maintainable anymore, or nonexistent. This task analysis shows that maintenance technicians carry out their jobs in very different settings, with very different tasks in each setting. This argues for a more differentiated course curriculum per job type. However, this is only slightly in accordance with the current training practices.
