The purpose of this award was to provide graduate education in conjunction withtwo major field programs; the first to investigate the formation, development, and break up of stratocumulus clouds and the structure of extra-tropical marine boundary layer; and the second to investigate air-sea interactions over the tropical Pacific Ocean.
