摘要

A method is presented for the numerical simulation of time-dependent fluid flowin shock tubes and blast simulators. This method solves the Euler equations in a one-dimensional (1-D) computational domain with area changes. Complex flow fields can be simulated through the use of grid geometries and boundary conditions that are allowed to vary with time. The formulation of the solution algorithm and the time-varying boundary conditions are described. Results of a set of benchmark calculations are presented to illustrate the capabilities of the technique.
