Final Source Removal Report for the Remediation of Contaminated Soils at the OldBurn Area (Site 11), Savannah Air National Guard Base, Savannah International Airport, Savannah, Georgia. Volume 1

Approximately 11,000 tons of petroleum contaminated soil was removed and treatedat Site 11, as part of the ongoing Installation Restoration Program (IRP) activities. The contaminated soil was removed and transported to the Soil Safe, Inc. Treatment facility in Savannah, located within 2 miles of the site. Excavations were backfilled with clean soil and the site restored using sod and seed. No further significant source area exists at Site 11 and no additional soil remediation is recommended.
