Holographic Processing of High-Speed Lightwave Signals for the Time-DivisionMultiplexing

Photorefractive quantum well devices were evaluated for use in holographicprocessing of high speed lightwave signals by measuring the shape of a diffracted femtosecond pulse. Pulses diffracted from photorefractive quantum wells were broadened, but remained nearly transform limited. The phase of the diffracted pulse remained essentially flat.
