Bulk CS Overpack Salvage Drums United Nations (UN) Performance Oriented Packaging (POP) Tests

The U.S. Army Defense Ammunition Center (DAC), Validation Engineering Division (SIOAC-DEV), was tasked by U.S. Army Armament Research, Development and Engineering Center (ARDEC) to conduct United Nations (UN) Performance Oriented Packaging (POP) tests on bulk CS salvage drums. UN POP tests were conducted to determine if these salvage drums were suitable to be used for shipment of bulk CS to Pine Bluff Arsenal (PBA) for demilitarization. The salvage drums used for shipment of bulk CS met all UN POP, Packing Group II, test requirements.
