Thermally Insulated Flexible Composite Cores for Aerospace Applications

IMP has developed a very unusual and unique flexible ceramic insulation. Theoriginal research was oriented toward the incorporation of an insulation material into the open cells of a honeycomb core inside a CFRP composite sandwich. IMP also perfected a method to spray this insulation onto whatever surface was required. The insulation can be easily applied to many types of surfaces regardless of geometrical configuration. IMP's insulation can be made to meet all of the necessary requirements for aerospace applications, as well as being able to compete directly against standard fiberglass building insulation, dollar for dollar, while offering superior insulation performance.
