Nanocomposites for Soldier Ballistic Protection Workshop Proceedings

A workshop on Nanocomposites for Soldier Ballistic Protection was conducted on April 12 - 13, 1999 at the U.S. Army Soldier Systems Center, Natick, MA. Researchers and planners from academia, industry and government participated in brainstorming sessions to discuss the potential of nanotechnology to contribute to the development of materials for improved personnel armor. The discussions identified challenges that need to be addressed and opportunities that exist to exploit nanocomposites for armor applications.
