Military Products from Commercial Lines Volume 1A - Business Practices Manual

This Business Practices (BP) Manual is the product of the Industrial Base Pilot (IBP) Military Products from Commercial Lines (MPCL) contract awarded by the Air Force Research Laboratory's Manufacturing Technoloy Division at Wright- Patterson Ohio. The objective of the manual is to enable the development and manufacture of military products using commercial sources. The Business Practices Manual was developed by an Integrated Support Team (IST) comprised of representatives from defense customers and avionics contractors as well as from commercial suppliers and from national associations. Although developed specifically for electronics, these requirements also useable for any airframes and engines. This document should be used in conjunction with the IBP Model contract to provide a new paradigm for government procurement of military products.
