National Shipbuilding Research Program. Methodology of Part Standardization

摘要

The purpose of this document is to introduce the basic requirements for the design and implementation of a Part Standardization Program within the shipbuilding and marine design communities. The adoption and use of a Part Standardization Program within these industries will be instrumental in reducing design and materials costs across shipbuilding programs and reducing overall Life Cycle and support services costs for the life of the end products affected.
