Implementation of a Virtual Camera for Ground Simulation of Store Separation Flight Test Film Data

摘要

High-speed film recorded by cameras mounted on a flight test aircraft is one of the primary means of obtaining inflight data about the motions of fuel tanks, bombs, missiles, and other stores during separation. This report describes the development and implementation of Computer graphics techniques to emulate the views of store release events expected to be obtained from flight test cameras positioned on the basis of re-flight ground simulations. The computer visualization can be used to help place and orient the cameras or optimum coverage of the expected store release motions.
