The primary technical objectives of this ARL contract effort were to further develop Parmax(R) resins offering unprecedented mechanical properties that would enable the future production of a variety of lightweight advanced defense components. Given the unique chemical structure, morphology and molecular dynamics of these materials, a better understanding of the processes controlling and affecting the performance and processing of Parmax(R) polyphenylene resins is needed.
