Three tasks were accomplished. A 'full sphere' subarray pattern computation module, ELEMPAT, was developed that featured back plane scattering and interface with AFRL's RLSTAP code. A STAP module, featuring selection from eight STAP modules, also was interfaced to RLSTAP. Finally, several VHF airborne STAP radar scenarios of interest were analyzed. The main conclusion from the analysis was that realistic (installed) patterns appear to have a major impact on STAP performance and must be dealt with early in the system design process.
