User Manual for the Generic Directivity Index (GenDI) Program (Version 1.0.5)

This document is the user manual for the Generic Directivity Index (GenDI) Program. Designed to calculate the directivity index of 10 predefined geometry shapes for linear, planar, and volumetric arrays, the program is also able to read a user-prescribed sensor geometry file for irregularly shaped or weighted arrays. Included in the manual are a description of the basic theory behind GenDI, the program commands and flowcharts, and validation procedures.
