The goals and tasks of Funding Year 1 encompassed multiple regulatory approvals and study start-up activities. The Data Safety Monitoring Board was established and the Charter approved by all members. The study protocol and all data forms were finalized. Research manner, coordinators, and relevant personnel were hired/existing personnel trained at all collaborating sites.
