摘要

Research activities supported by this grant focused on the following main topics: 1. Investigations of fluid flow through nanometer scale nozzles (nanojets), aiming at the development of miniaturized injectors in NEMS (Nano Electro Mechanical Systems). 2. Studies of the effects of surface roughness on the properties of confined fluids, pertaining to tribological and lubrication processes in nano-scale junctions. 3. Development of large-scale computer-based molecular dynamics simulation aimed at investigations of the effect of fluids (particularly water) on adhesive interactions in NEMS.
