摘要

This document is the final report of the Honey Lake Robotic Range Clearance research conducted by the Air Force Research Laboratory for the US Army Engineering and Support Center (USAESCH) in Huntsville, Alabama. The Honey Lake Robotic research project was conducted between 21 July 2003 and 29 September 2003 at the Honey Lake site on Sierra Army Depot, Herlong, CA. Approximately 2,600 acres of Honey Lake was contaminated with military munitions scrap and unexploded ordnance from open pit demolition operations. The first step in the transfer process of the contaminated area was a surface clearance of all unexploded ordnance and ordnance scrap metal. USAESCH requested AFRL/RXQF to perform research to determine if robotics would increase clearance production.
