Multifunction Radar Resource Management using Tracking Optimisation

摘要

In this paper we report on the relationship between track update intervals and track accuracy in a Multifunction phase array radar system. Strategies for selecting the update rate are highlighted and the degradation of performance as update rate reduces is demonstrated. It is shown that using suitable techniques considerable radar resources can be liberated for non- tracking tasks.
