摘要

The stress distribution for the fiber-matrix interphase push-out test is derived. The analytical solution provides the mechanics foundation to relate experimental measurements to the properties of the interphase. The shear- lag model incorporates a discrete interphase region quantified by the thickness and shear modulus of the interphase. Except for the basic shear-lag model assumptions, the method follows a rigorous mathematical approach. Accuracy of the analytical solution is assessed using finite element analysis. The data reduction scheme enables the interphase strength and shear modulus to be determined from the load-deformation response of the specimen.
