摘要

The environmental fate of chemical warfare agents (CWA) is important because the contact or vapor hazard is critical input for models employed to support decisions on the level of individual protection at Fixed Sites. Several different microbalances configured in a wind tunnel geometry, were employed to measure the evaporation and desorption rates from surfaces. The overall experimental design covers several neat and thickened agents and several material surfaces. The initial elements of the experimental design reported here include chemical warfare agent GD, HD, and VX on aluminum and glass as reference surfaces and on standardized aggregate from concrete and asphalt pavements.
